Rohrberg

The small village of Rohrberg extends partly in the valley, partly over the steep slopes of the sunny Rohrberg. It consists of the districts of Rohr, Haslach, Hochfeld and the scattered areas on the western slope of the Karspitze. The seat of the municipality is located in the valley in the small village of Rohr, about 1. 5 km northeast of Zell am Ziller. The parish of Rohrberg belongs to the parish of Zell.

The former administrative building of the mine, the so-called Gallerhaus, was acquired by the chamber singer Felix Kraus from Munich and converted into a villa. The beautifully landscaped Kraus Promenade is named after the great artist. Rohrberg is characterised by the Zillertal Arena, which is partly located in its municipality and can be reached via the Karspitzbahn. In winter, a popular ski area with a large selection of slopes, in summer it is the centre of a wide network of charming hiking trails into the Zillertal mountains. Enthusiasts can relax in the Arena Coaster, an almost 1. 5 kilometre long “Alpenachterbahn”,
